“May this Diwali every light brings happiness and prosperity to everyone’s house”.

We all know Diwali is celebrated as the homecoming of ram Bhagwan from the exile of 14 years with his wife Sita and brother Laxman. Al the people of Ayodhya welcomed them by lighting diyas with ghee, rangoli, decoration, and exchanging gift with relatives and burning crackers.

Up to this day, we celebrate Diwali with full enthusiasm and love.

According to Jainism, on the same day, Lord Mahavir attain moksha from this world.

You can know some more facts about Diwali –

  1. On Diwali around one billion dollars are spent on firecrackers only.
  2. In 1577 the foundation stone of the Golden Temple was laid.
  3. We pray and honor of Lakshmi – the Hindu goddess of wealth and success.
  4. It also marks as a major shopping festival.
  5. Not only in India, but Diwali is also a national holiday in Trinidad & Tobago, Myanmar, Nepal, Mauritius, Guyana, Singapore, Suriname, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Fiji.
  6. Diwali is also marked as the release date of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji – and 52 other kings and princess of India that were made captives by the Shah Jahan in Gwalior.
